You may wonder why I chose Orb of Confusion. Well, it started when
I decided to register my own domain name. I quickly came to the realization
that it is difficult to find a good name, which has not already been taken.
The only hope is to come up with an obscure, but easily remembered name.
One day, while watching
Spongebob Squarepants, Patrick and Spongebob were disabled
by a small device, which caused all around it to be confused. This device
was the called the "orb of confusion". The more I thought about it, I realized
that we all live on an orb of confusion - Earth.
Society conspires to keep us off balance. Order a small soft drink from
McDonald's and you get a bucket of sugar water large enough to put out the
Great Chicago Fire.
For those eternally confused, society actually helps keep them there. Take the
Massachusetts Voter Registration form as an example. If you don't know your
address, this form allows you to place an 'X' in a box to show what part of
town you live in. Do we really want these people voting - and in the jury pool? |
