This was the last day of our trip so we were in no hurry to leave. We ate our breakfast and slowly packed up. It was another sunny and warm day, but the wind was blowing hard and it looked like some rain might be on its way. With the wind in our face the entire way, the paddle to the end of Daisy L. was a struggle.

Once we were on the water and saw the dark skies, we were anxious to get to the car so we could claim that it didn't rain the entire trip. However, we both felt some sadness about leaving after such a wonderful trip. As Seth said, "In the past I always felt like I had survived the trip as we were leaving. This time, I don't want to leave." I couldn't have said it better.

We didn't have far to travel so it wasn't long before we reached the car. At the car, we finally unloaded the bad cheese and sausage in the dumpster. We loaded up the car and put on a clean change of clothes. Before leaving, we took our traditional beard pictures.

We drove to Huntsville in search of food. We stopped at the "Louis II" restaurant on Main Street. After lunch, we returned our canoe and drove across the park on Highway 60. On the way, we stopped at the Visitors Center and the Logging Museum. These were both worthwhile stops.

We headed for home knowing that we had a long drive, but we felt energized because it had been such a great trip.
